Rachel B. Cohen MSW, MUP, Aging-Dynamics
Rachel B. Cohen MSW, MUP, Principal of Aging-Dynamics, has a diverse background in community planning and social work with a focus on gerontology and nonprofit management. With over 25 years’ experience working and consulting with public and private organizations of all sizes, and across sectors such as housing, aging, health care, public health, social services and community development, she offers a comprehensive perspective to multi-sector collaborations, fostering communication and positioning for success in evolving funding and policy environments.
Ms. Cohen has extensive experience in facilitation, strategic planning, program development, qualitative research, and developing strategic partnerships for collaborative efforts. Ms. Cohen most often serves as a bridge between research and practice, developing common languages and translating research outcomes into practical applications, utilizing community engagement strategies to facilitate collection of data and encourage diverse participation.
Utilizing visual facilitation techniques, she reinvigorates strategy development and business planning through a personalized approach incorporating the culture and strengths of the organization. Rachel creates an inclusive environment in which participants with varying communication and learning styles can contribute fully, enhancing the process and their experience. Each engagement is unique, yet all integrate robust research with tools designed to actively engage, building capacity and prioritizing sustainability. Working nationally, she draws on best practices from organizations, accesses expertise from content experts in multiple sectors creating solutions while simultaneously building the capacity of her clients, enabling them to increase efficiency and efficacy of their efforts.
Rachel has a Bachelor in City Planning degree from the University of Virginia, a Masters of Urban Planning and Social Work degrees with specializations in non-profit management and aging from the University of Michigan.
